31 for 21 Day 21: Simulate Speech Difficulty of People with Down Syndrome

Thank you Sunflower Stories for posting this article about how to try to share how difficult it is for people with Down syndrome to speak.  I can see it being used a lot in our future!

  2. Thanks for sharing the link. I found it really interesting, too. The other thing I read to help simulate difficulties associated with Ds, is to have the typical child put on oven mitts and try to do motor tasks (like writing your name) and put cotton balls in their ears to demonstrate hearing difficulties caused by fluid retention in the canal.
